How to Instantly Boost Your Website Traffic Using Facebook Pages
Some Facebook publishers have been saying that their web traffic is down in the last couple months.
When digging into it, many noticed that the first comment was no longer being pinned to their posts, thus impacting any post which had the ‘link in the first comment’ leading to their websites.
Well we have two pieces of good news for you…
1. Disable Facebook Comments
Make sure that you disable Facebook’s ‘Show most relevant comments first’ feature.
This setting will usually bury your ‘link in first comment’ post. The less automated settings you have with Facebook, the better.
Don’t expect it to work right away, but it should start to impact more and more of your posts with time.

2. Comment Strategy
Many Facebook Pages’ first comments are no longer being buried as they were in the last few weeks, especially when combined with the above settings change.
Was it a Facebook glitch?
Something they were testing?
Doesn’t matter.
Try it once again on your Pages and see if it’s no longer getting buried.
As we always see with Facebook, new updates and glitch fixes are always rolled out over time. Not all pages get the same fixes and updates at the same time.
Link previews were also being blocked for some time, we’re seeing this much less on Pages. Which is great for CTR.
Final Thoughts
Moral of the story: don’t freak out when something changes with Facebook. It’s not always permanent and it’s often fixed.
When you see a temporary change, try out different interim solutions to see if you can improve things.
But always be ready to switch back to status quo if you see things return back to normal. You can also always just ride things out and see what happens.
