05How Publisher Market is different

We publish for a living. So we check what publishers check.

PIB runs page networks and publishing brands every day, and built this marketplace for itself first. That is why the diligence on this book reads differently. Every line below is checkable against a published process.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is it against Meta's terms to buy or sell a page?

Meta's terms do not allow a Page to be sold on its own, so nothing here is sold that way. What changes hands is the company. You acquire the LLC that owns the Business Portfolio, and the Portfolio holds the Page, so the asset moves with the entity instead of through a handover of logins. This is the same entity transfer used in company sales everywhere, it is documented at every step, and it leaves monetization, payout history and account standing intact. A deal papered any other way risks a restriction and is far harder to sell on later.

How does PIB verify buyers and sellers?

Sellers provide payout records, revenue history and the account's standing with the platform before a listing goes live, and PIB reads them rather than taking a screenshot at face value. Buyers verify identity through Persona and confirm they can fund a purchase in the listing's range before a Certified or Marquee listing opens to them. Direct Listings publish as seller-reported and say so on their face, so you always know which kind you are reading.

How is the money protected?

It depends which track the listing is on, and the listing says which. On an Elite Listing, PIB runs the close: the buyer funds Escrow.com before any access or ownership moves, purchase funds never touch PIB, and escrow releases against confirmed milestones such as admin access, the entity transfer and the documentation. On a Direct Listing the two parties arrange payment between themselves. PIB does not hold the funds or sit in the middle, and recommends an escrow service for anything above a few thousand dollars.

How do I know what my asset is worth?

Start with the free valuation. It reads follower count, engagement, revenue history, niche demand, compliance health and trajectory, and returns a range rather than a single number. It also names what is holding the multiple down and what would lift it, so you can decide whether to list now or fix those things first. The paid Professional Asset Valuation goes further and is the basis of an Elite Listing.

Can PIB run the asset after I buy it?

Yes. Turnkey Management takes over the daily operation from the day the transfer closes: content cadence, monetization and audience work, under a revenue share. You own the business and the entity throughout, you see the numbers, and you can end the arrangement and run it yourself. It suits a buyer who wants the cash flow without taking on the work.

How long does a transfer take?

Most close within seven to fourteen business days once both sides are verified and escrow is funded. That covers the LLC transfer, the Meta Business Portfolio migration, the website handoff, any automation setup and the documentation. A multi-asset portfolio takes longer, and PIB gives you that timeline at the start rather than at the end.

What happens if something goes wrong after the transfer?

Every acquisition includes a support window after closing, and the PIB team works the problem with you: admin access that does not stick, a payout that does not land, a technical handover that needs finishing. Anything that contradicts what the listing said is dealt with before escrow releases, which is what the inspection period is for.

What can be listed here?

Monetized Facebook pages and page networks, publishing websites with display revenue, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads and YouTube accounts, newsletters, domain lots, and whole publishing businesses that combine several of those with the entity that owns them. Every listing states which figures PIB verified and which the seller reported.

What does it cost to list?

A Direct Listing is a one-time fee of $19 to $49 for 6 months, set by your asking price, and PIB takes no cut of the sale. From $50,000 an asset becomes an Elite Listing, where PIB verifies, values and sells it with you for a success fee at close and nothing upfront. The pricing page states every band.

Can I keep my listing confidential?

Yes. Marquee listings are confidential by default and identities release only after a signed tri-party NDA. On any other listing you can hold the asset name and links back until a buyer unlocks the listing and signs, so your audience, your advertisers and your competitors do not learn the business is for sale while it is.
