PIB Marketplace vs Flippa.
Flippa lists more online businesses than anyone and puts every one of them in front of the largest buyer pool in the category. PIB is a publishing company that runs a marketplace for one asset class. Here is what that difference changes.
Competitor details as published on their sites on September 2, 2026. Every PIB figure comes from the fee schedule.
Why publishers choose PIB
Six things only a publisher does.
PIB publishes for a living and built this marketplace for itself first. Each card states what that buys you, then what Flippa does on the same line.
- 01
Publisher-grade verification
PIB collects Meta content monetization payouts on its own pages every month. On every PIB Certified listing it reads the seller's payout history line by line and reviews account standing, past strikes, and appeal history before the listing goes live.
Flippa
Flippa verifies connected analytics and payment accounts. Meta payout history and violation records sit outside that process.
- 02
The grow-first valuation
A PIB valuation names two numbers: what the asset is worth today and what it should be worth once it operates the way the category rewards. When the gap is large, PIB recommends growing first and then listing at the higher number.
Flippa
Flippa lists what you bring at the price you set. Nothing on the platform changes the number before the listing goes live.
- 03
PIB can run the asset after the close
Turnkey Management puts the team that already runs publishing assets on your new asset from the day the transfer closes. You acquire cash flow instead of acquiring a workload.
Flippa
The buyer runs the asset alone from the day the transfer completes.
- 04
Entity transfers, not account handovers
The LLC that owns the Business Portfolio changes hands, with the templates and the process behind it. The transfer holds up under Meta's terms and the asset keeps earning.
Flippa
Flippa supplies contract templates and the parties paper their own deal. Whether it becomes an entity transfer is up to them.
- 05
No buyer fees
Buyers read full listing detail, make offers, and run diligence at no charge. A buyer pays the purchase price and the escrow provider's fee, and nothing to PIB.
Flippa
Advanced buyer tooling on Flippa sits behind Flippa Premium, a paid buyer plan, as published.
- 06
Both tracks
Open a Direct Listing to $49,999 with a flat fee and no success fee, or let PIB verify, value, and sell it with you as an Elite Listing from $50,000 with no listing fee.

What gets verified
What each marketplace checks before a listing goes live.
Read line by line on every Elite Listing. Direct Listings publish as seller-reported and say so on their face.
Not part of the listing process. Sellers can connect analytics and commerce accounts, and Meta payouts are not one of them.
Account standing, past strikes, and appeal history reviewed before a Certified listing goes live.
Outside the listing process.
Verified on Certified listings, with a standardized data room so buyers compare like for like.
Verified where the seller connects a supported analytics or payment integration. Otherwise seller-reported.
Audience quality, US share, niche durability, and algorithm exposure.
Traffic sources from connected analytics. No publisher-side read on audience quality.
Buyer side
What a buyer pays and what a buyer has to prove.
Free. Every published listing, price, and multiple is open.
Free to browse, as published.
Free. Terms and identity verification on Direct Listings, plus a buying power check on Certified and Marquee listings.
Listing detail is open. Advanced buyer tooling sits in Flippa Premium, a paid plan, as published.
Identity verification through Persona for every buyer. Buying power checked on Certified and Marquee listings.
Buyer account verification before bidding.
Free. Offers and counter-offers go straight to the seller.
Offers and auction bids through the platform.
After the close
Who is still standing next to the asset.
You, or PIB through Turnkey Management under a revenue share. You decide after diligence.
The buyer, alone.
A transitional admin period while Escrow.com holds the funds, and a stability commitment from the seller after the transfer.
Handover is arranged between buyer and seller.
PIB stays on the deal from escrow to asset transfer, and answers after it.
Platform support for the transaction. No operating support after it.
Turnkey Management or Elite Consulting on the asset you bought, from the company that verified it.
None. Flippa is a listing platform, not a publishing company.

Where Flippa is stronger
Flippa carries far more inventory than anyone and puts a listing in front of the largest buyer pool in the category. For a small asset that needs volume to find a bidder, that reach is hard to beat. Its connected-data tooling is mature and its owner-listed flow is fast. PIB competes on what it can verify for publishing assets, how the transfer is structured, and what happens to the asset before and after the close. It does not compete on volume.
What Flippa does well
- Inventory. Flippa carries more live listings than any other marketplace, across domains, apps, SaaS, ecommerce, and content sites.
- Buyer pool. A listing on Flippa reaches the largest buyer audience in the category, which matters most for a small asset that needs volume to find a bidder.
- Tooling. Connected analytics and commerce integrations let a seller show verified traffic and revenue next to the listing, and buyers get a data-backed valuation tool.
- Speed on small deals. The run-it-yourself flow, the auction format, and a low entry listing fee make Flippa the fastest route to market for an asset under five figures.
Flippa's buyer tooling is a paid plan.
Flippa Premium for buyers costs $49 per month or $490 per year, as published. Every buyer on PIB reads full listing detail, makes offers, and runs diligence at no charge. The only cost a buyer carries is the escrow fee, paid to the escrow provider.
Three questions.
Is PIB cheaper than Flippa for a small asset?
For an asset under $50,000, PIB charges a flat listing fee per 6 month term and no success fee. Flippa charges a listing plan plus a 10 percent success fee, as published. Run your own number on the PIB pricing page before you decide.
Does Flippa verify Facebook page revenue?
Flippa verifies data from connected analytics and payment integrations. Meta content monetization payouts are not one of those integrations, so page revenue on Flippa is seller-reported. PIB reads the payout history line by line on every PIB Certified listing.
Can I list on both?
Nothing stops you. Buyers compare, so keep the numbers identical on both listings. On PIB, an asset at $50,000 and above goes through the compliance check and the Professional Asset Valuation before it lists, and the verified badge travels with the listing.
